Dallin's birthday is on Sunday, but we are having a small family party for him tomorrow night. He invited the little neighbor boy, Connor, to come too. So we've been busy getting things ready today! This year I let the boys do the decorating on the cake. They did a great job and were very serious about it, especially Aaron. It is the second year that we've made a homemade pinata. This year, we only made it 2 layers thick vs. 4 layers like last year. Maybe this time the kids won't have to put it on the ground and jump on it to break it open!! Dallin loves anything ocean related and asked for a fish bowl cake. I didn't see that it needed to be made from pound cake to stand up properly. This one is just a white funfetti cake, so it's 2-d instead of standing up 3-d. Oh well!
