Brown Bag Microwave Popcorn

We have some huge popcorn fans in our family.  We eat it almost every night!

Brown bag popcorn is a fun, healthy way to enjoy this snack. Simply place 1/4 c. popcorn kernels into a brown lunch sack, fold down a couple of times to close, and microwave on high for 2 minutes**.

Pour into a bowl and spray with butter flavored spray (Pam works well) and sprinkle with salt or seasonings.

That's it! Cheaper and much less greasy than the store bought stuff!

**Obviously all microwaves cook differently. Ours cooks a perfect bag in 2 minutes. Experiment to see what works best for you.

  5. This is great! I just read something recently about how bad microwave popcorn is and was looking for an alternative that didn't involve me cleaning a pan. Yeah! Thanks so much.

  6. This works in a pinch and was really handy when our library was showing a movie: each kiddo has their own bag of fresh popcorn. NO Fighting. And no icky chemically, greasy mess;0)

  11. Thank you for posting this. We always do the pot on the stove method. I would rather do this one since it requires no oil! We'll be making some of this later on today :-)

  14. I loved seeing this especially after my kids came in and asked for popcorn. Always with the white cheddar too. I sometimes make them "Popcorn Salad" popcorn with a treat mixed in... like cherry twizzler nibs... I will have to try this, thanks for sharing. winks-jen
