I love this time of year when all of the yummy produce goes on SALE! Especially berries. Mmmm. Last year we waited too long to go strawberry picking, but we won't make that mistake this year! We did pick some raspberries last year. Well, I picked some raspberries. Kaylee and Aaron ate more than they picked.
This year planted strawberries in our flower beds and were surprised at how many we got! Aaron has a little pot of them on the porch and has already picked 10 strawberries from it. I wish I had planted more!
For now, I am enjoying the baskets of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries that are at bargain prices at Kroger's.

Smoothies are always a favorite over here, but I don't have a set recipe for them. I just throw some fresh/frozen fruit, yogurt and some 100% juice or crystal light in a blender and call it good. They turn out different every time and it's a good way to clean out the fruit drawer of things that are getting a bit too ripe!
