I don't normally stock up on fabric like this without specific projects in mind, but I couldn't help myself today! Joann's had their "Quilter's Showcase" fabrics at 50% off. Normally they are $4.99/yard, which is a great price, right now they are $2.49!

With baby girl coming, I'll have two little girls to sew up pretty jumpers and dresses for....and lots and lots of little fabric baby shoes to make.
This grey hounds tooth was the end of the bolt. I got 1 1/2 yards at $2.49 and the rest for $1.25/yard! I think I might make the boys neck ties with a part of it.
The polka dot was the end of the bolt as well. Every time they offer just buying the rest of the bolt for an additional 50% off I go for it.

It said one time use, so I wasn't sure if that meant for whoever posted it or if it meant one time per purchase. I brought it anyways and it worked! So if you are headed over there this week, print it out. It couldn't hurt!

love the fabric choices. I bought the grey houndstooth and teal polka dots a couple weeks back and made baby slings and a carseat cover out of it for my baby due in a couple of days. All the fabric you picked out is beautiful and definitely a bargain! Happy sewing.
ReplyDeleteI got about the same amount as you, spending about the same yesterday! I'm curious, when you buy fabric just for the heck of it, how much do you usually buy? I bought 2 yards of each pattern. BUT if there's only 1 3/4 of a yard left, they won't give you the 3/4 yard as a remnant. If I would have asked for 1 yard, I could have gotten the extra as a remnant. So now I know how to play their game.
