Ladybug Nails

This little lady loves having pretty nails. And she does a great job of being patient and waiting for them to dry...especially for a 3 year old! I thought it would be fun to tie her nails in with what we had been talking about that day...ladybugs.

They were super simple to do. First I painted her nails red. When they were dry I used a sharpie pen to decorate the nails with spots and the ladybug head on the nails that were large enough. I used a toothpick dipped in white acrylic pain for the eyes. When it was dry, I applied a thin coat of a good top coat (Sally Hansen). Sharpie pens can run if covered with paint or polish, so that is why a thin coat works good.

We did orange nails with black polka dots (using a Sharpie) for Halloween last year and it was so FAST and easy! A very easy way to add detail...and they come in many colors!
